O Jenny lass, they tell to me Thou'rt kiddin' wi' the weaver.

[Orig. doubtful. Phs. orig. a back formation from the adj. kiddy, O.Sc. cady, wanton (cf. Kaid), with later influence from kid, the young goat, and slang kid, to hoax.]
