KADDIE, n. Also kadi (Jak.). An ill-natured or mischievous person, a spoilt child (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl.; I.Sc. 1880 Jam., Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928); Ork. 1959).

[A variant spelling of Caddie, n.2, q.v. The meaning has developed from the notion of a pet, and hence indulged or spoilt, lamb.]
