GABBOCK, n.1 Also gappo(c)k. A mouthful, morsel. Cf. Gabbit, n., 1.Sc. 1706 Blythsome Wedding in J. Watson Choice Coll. (1869) i. 10:
There will be Tartan, Dragen and Brachen, and fouth of good gappoks of Skate. [In Ramsay T.T. Misc. 1724–27 (1733) I. 91. the spelling is gabbock, in J. Ritson Sc. Songs (1794) I. 211, gappock.]

[From Gab, n.1, 2., the mouth, palate + dim. suff., prob. on analogy with gobbet, a piece, lump (O.Fr. gobet).]
