DEUCH, DYOCH, n.1 Also teuch. A drink, a draught (Sc. 1808 Jam.; 1888 C. Mackay Dict. Lowl. Sc., deuch); extended to mean drink in general and “usually applied to that which is intoxicating” (n.Sc. 1808 Jam.), and to a pull of a pipe (Bnff.9 c.1927, deuch, teuch).
