COAKSER, n. and v. [′koksər]

1. n. “Term in game of marbles. When a boy cries ‘Fain coaksers,' the player cannot lift the marble out of a hole” (Mry. 1916 T.S.D.C. II.). Gen. in pl. Cf. cock-shy s.v. Cock, n.1, III. 2. (18).

2. v. “To put a marble where it can easily be hit” (Mry. 1916 T.S.D.C. II.).
