Used now only (so far as I know) of prayers said on going to bed, and then spec. by a child. “Are thoo said thee b[onie-words] yet?”

[O.N. bœ́nar-orð, prayer. The Sc. form is prob. due to contamination from bonnie (s.v. Bonny).]
