BOD, n.2

1. A person of small size; often used contemptuously. [bɔd]Abd. 1898 E.D.D.:
Bod. In use fifty years ago, esp. as a nickname for a short man.

2. A person in gen., with derogatory significance.Edb. 1788 J. Macaulay Poems 143:
While aulder bods were babees birling, We took our slide.
Rnf. 1813 E. Picken Poems, etc. II. 131:
Sae he made a lang blaw about graces, an' gods, Like Vulcan, an' Bachus, an' ither sic bods.
