BLONT, n. Given as obsol. by Sh.7 1935. [blʌnt]

1. "Wink of sleep; doze; to tak' a b[lont]; he's ta'en him a b[lont]" (Sh. 1814 Irvine MSS; Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928)). In sea-taboo usage.

2. "A flash; gleam; gleam of light. Der'r no a blont o' light within de door" (Ib.).
