Blokk and blokka, a large leaf, esp. leaf of marsh-marigold or buttercup (ranunculus); also as a name for the plant itself. Also blogga, blogg, bloga [etc.].

[Icel. blaðka, leaf of certain plants; Norw. blokka, (small) leaf; Fær. bløðka, large leaf, cabbage-leaf (Torp). Icel. hōfbla(ð)ka, marigold (Cleasby and Vigfusson).]
