I. n. A child's name for the little finger (I.Sc. 1974), gen. in rhyme, given below, in playing with the fingers.Sh. 1932 J. M. E. Saxby Trad. Lore 63:
Da peerie, weerie, winkie een 'at fell idda burn.
Sh. 1974:
Dis da peerie weerie winkie at stak aa gutters and paid for aa.

II. adj. By extension from I.: small, tiny.Sh. 1891 J. Burgess Rasmie's Büddie 71:
An sün her peerie winkie haands O cockaloories bricht wis fu.
