WILLIAM AND MARY, n.phr. The lungwort, Pulmonaria officinalis (Bnff., Abd., Ags. 1951).
[The buds of the plant are of a pinkish colour which changes into blue as they develop into flowers. The impression of the plants having two different-coloured flowers has given rise to the male and female type name, which is paralleled in Eng. dial.
