WASTLAND, n., adj. Also was(t)lan, westlan. Sc. forms and usages of Eng. westland (Per. 1893 Harp Per. (Ford) 262, Bwk. 1904 Lady J. Scott Songs 23). Cf. Eastlan' and Wastlin.
