UHUH, int. Also uhu (Jam.), uhha, ucha. An exclamation indicating attentiveness or agreement (Sc. 1825 Jam.). Gen.Sc. [′ʌhʌ]wm.Sc. 1917 O. Douglas The Setons xi.:
Edinburgh calls Glasgow vulgar, and on the surface we are vulgar. We say 'Ucha.'
