TRUMPHERY, n. Also reduced form trumph. Sc. forms of Eng. trumpery, worthless stuff, rubbish (Sh., Ork., Bnff., Ags. 1973).Per. 1799 J. Robertson Agric. Per. 281:
All the useless trumphery of vegetables they can command.
