TROLL, n., v. Also trool (Mry.). Dim. trol(l)ie. Sc. forms (also in Eng. dial.) and usages of Eng. trull.

I. n. A person of untidy habits, a sloven, slattern (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 199; Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B., trol(l)ie; Mry. 1925, trool). Comb. trollie-tails, a slovenly-dressed woman (Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B.).

II. v. To walk, work, or carry from place to place in a slovenly manner (Gregor). Vbl.n. trollan (Id.).
