TESHEE, n. A titter, giggle, a light, prolonged laugh.Sc. 1756 M. Calderwood Journey (M.C.) 218:
“But they are really cleanly bodies though,” says Peg; “there they have their commodities set up for the use of the travellers:” at this they set up such a teshee. “They's chapells!” say they.
