TEEK, v. To coax, entice, esp. to coax an ammal to come to one's hand (Ork. 1929 Marw.). Hence teeked, ppl.adj., of an animal which has been induced to come to one's hand: petted, spoilt (Ork. 1972); teeking, vbl.n., coaxing, enticement.Ork. 1929 Old-Lore Misc. IX. ii. 76:
Sheu teukna muckle tizin' or teekin'.
