STRUIE, v. Also struy. To sweep threshed straw aside into a heap with one motion of the flail instead of using the hands (Cai. 1904 E.D.D., Cai. 1946).Cai. 1916 John o' Groat Jnl. (7 April):
At the word “struie” the straw was swept up by the flails to the side of the barn.
