¶SPRUSH, n.2 ? Phs. a nonce usage of Sprush, n.1, intended to connote finery, smart appearance, but the meaning is not clear.Abd. 1804 W. Tarras Poems 38:
For if paveein I might scud, 'Mang Jemmie's sprush, Really they'd think, I was a bud Frae senseless drush.
