SNUAIN, n. Also snuan, snuian, and uncompounded form snue (Marw.). Seaweed in gen., sometimes more specif. applied to the leaves of tangle or to driftweed (Ork. 1845 Stat. Acc.2 XV. 96, 1929 Marw.). [′snøən]
