¶HALGH, n. ? Mist, spume, spray. The word is not otherwise attested and is prob. spurious.Sc. 1900 R. Cunningham Graham Thirty Tales (1929) 29:
There was sic a halgh (the sea being very rough), he was na sure they were rocks at all.
