KILLIE, n.2 A short form of Kilmarnock in Ayrshire (Ayr. 1786 Burns Inventory 11, 1952 Reynolds News (14 Sept.) 10). Nickname for Kilmarnock Football Club. Also attrib. Sc. 1994 Daily Record 23 Apr 51:
