ST MAGGUS'S FAIR. At Lesmahagow in Jan.

[Maggus corresponds to -mahagow in the name of the town, traditionally from St Machutus (St Malo of Brittany), but this is much disputed. See G. A. F. Knight Archaeological Light (1933) I. 395, note 35.]
