CROKAG, n. Also crookach. An instrument for twisting straw-ropes, a thraw-cruik (Sth. (crokag), Rs. (crookach) 1961 Gwerin III. 213). [Gael. cròcag, crook handle. Cf. also thraw-cruik s.v. Thraw, v., 1. (3), which has prob. influenced form and meaning.]
