COMKECKLE, adj. Perverse, refractory, Camstairy.Edb. 1828 M. & M. Corbett Tales & Leg. III. 150:
"The Laird's in an awful state," replied Hughie; "It's lang since I hae seen him in sic a comkeckle mood."
