CHESSAR, n. A local Abd. name for a kind of large thick bun.Abd. 1887 Bon-Accord (25 June) 6:
But surely gratitude was at a low ebb when Bon-Accord's rising generation could resort to pitching about their “chessars” within the grounds of Devanha House.
Abd. 1890 Bon-Accord (2 Aug.) 19:
The “chessars” were at least a week old.
