SIBBLE, v. Also subble. To drink slowly and audibly, to sip (Ork. 1929 Marw., Ork. 1970). Formerly in n.Eng. dial.Ork.1 c.1885:
When I drank my tea noisily out of a saucer, my aunt would say: "Don't subble!"
