RELY, v. Sc. usage, absol. or with tae, til: to make one's home (with), to depend upon for bed and board, to quarter (Bnff., Abd. 1968).Abd.15 c.1930:
“He relies there”, makes his home there, or with the family there. “He relies tae them”, makes his home with them — when he, as a farm servant, is unengaged.
Abd. 1939:
The bairn relies til her grandparents and fan she leaves the skweel an' gets a place, it's tae them that she'll aye gang back an' forrat.
