In effect the Quaestor of the Library, Quaestor of the University, Aerarii universitatis quaestor, falls to be deemed as one and the same Thing. The Funds in the Aerarium, under the Management of the Library Quaestor, the sole Quaestor of the University, as comprehending the different Colleges, falls naturally to be considered as the Aerarium Universitatis.

[The Senatus] authorised the conferring of degrees, it administered the university finances, controlled the common Library, and appointed the common officers, such as the Librarian, the Quaestor, and the Archbeadle.
