PRUIDDLES, n.pl. Phs. a jocular formation from Proud, connoting laziness, pique or something of the kind.Kcd. 1893 Stonehaven Jnl. (19 Jan.):
“Are ye weel eneuch?” says he. “Juist some bother'd wi' the pruiddles, bit I'll sune get a' richt.”
