PLAITTER, n. Also plaeter. Sc. forms and usage of Eng. platter. See P.L.D. §48.1. (3). A saucer (Sh. 1966). Comb. plaittermaet, -meat, sausage-meat (Id.), by substitution of plaitter for Sasser, q.v., wrongly taken as = saucer.Sh. 1922 J. Inkster Mansie's Röd 142:
