NEEDCESSITATE, v. To necessitate, oblige.Sc. 1700 Burgh Rec. Gsw. (1908) 298:
The annualrent of such soumes as he hes already borrowed, or as he shall be needcessitated hereafter to borrow.
s.Sc. 1837 Wilson's Tales of the Borders III. 83:
An' when the puir stibbler was prayin . . . ae half o' the kirk was needcessitated to come oot, that they micht keep decent.
