I. n. Want of rest or sleep.Kcb. 1898 T. Murray Frae the Heather 167:
Still that shall breed me nae misrest.
II. v. In ppl.adj. misrestit, suffering from loss of sleep or disturbed nights (Sh., Abd., sm.Sc. 1963).Abd.15 1915:
She was muckle misrestit, the bairn bein nae weel.
