LEAZLE, v. Appar. a misprint for bazle, variant of Baissle, to exert oneself, used to translate A.V. “exercise”.s.Sc. 1857 H. S. Riddell Psalms cxxxi. 1:
Naether do I leazle mysel', makin' a wark in meikle mattirs, or in things ower heich for me.
