KROVE, n. Also krov. The cut-up carcase of a slaughtered animal (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928); Ork. 1929 Marw.; Sh. 1960).
Comb. krovmark, the fat lining the inside hollow of the back of an animal, along the spine (Jak.). See Mergh. [kro:v]
