HURLESS, adj. Also hurraless (Edm.) and hor(a)less, horlos (Jak.). Deafened or stupefied by noise (Sh. a.1838 Jam. MSS. XII. 109, 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1957); hence, by extension, limp, pithless, drained of energy.Sh.13 1957:
I'm flaan poans till I'm hurless.
