GRAINERY, n. Variant form of granary, due to the influence of grain (Bwk. 1942 Wettstein; Bnff., Abd., m.Lth., Kcb. 1955). Also in Eng. up to early 19th c. [′grenəre]Hdg. 1892 J. Lumsden Sheep-Head 297:
The grainery, the hichest hoose i' the toun, is to hae its tile roof pairced.
