FLOCK, n.1 Sc. usage in combs.: †1 = flockmele, adv., in flocks (Rxb. 1825 Jam.). Obs. in Eng. since 1611. For the form cf. piece-meal; †2.flock-raik (Bwk. 1825 Jam.), -rake, the range of pasture for a flock of sheep. See Raik.2. Bwk. 1809 R. Kerr Agric. Bwk. 179:
In the hill district boundary fences between separate farms, and subdivision into very large pastures, provincially termed flock rakes . . . are chiefly wanted.
