FAUCHIE, adj.1 Also fyauchy; fya(a)chie; †feachy (Mry. 1911 Trans. Bnff. Field Club 108). Pale yellowish grey, of a faded colour (Inv., Mry., ne.Sc., Ags. 1950); of persons, pasty-faced, sickly-looking (Ib.); of liquids, pale, colourless (Abd.27 1950). Also fig. stagnant, stale. Cf.
