DESTINAT(E), v. To destine; to ordain or appoint. Gen. found as pa.p. or ppl.adj.; obs. in Eng. since 17th cent.Sc. a.1714 in Earls of Crm. (ed. Fraser 1876) II. 508:
Olaus attained to that kingdome destinat to him by his father.
Bnff. 1722 J. Davidson in Trans. Bnffsh. Field Club (1887) 90:
The said above-named deacons for themselves, and as taking burden aforesaid, resigne, give, and destinat that piece of ground . . . for the uses allenerly aftermentioned to the Guildry.
Dmf. 1708 J. Barbour in Trans. Dmf. and Gall. Antiq. Soc. (1889) 263:
