1. Sc. form of Eng. dandle. Abd. 2000 Sheena Blackhall The Singing Bird 30:
The loons ye daunlit on yer knee
Are young men noo -
Near full the room!
My nest's stap-fu
O gorblies, big as me.

2. To toss about in the wind, found only in pa.p. dandl'd (Abd.4 1930), daundl't.m.Sc. 1927 W. P. McKenzie Bits o' Verse 1:
Gay marigolds nodded aboot the door, And sweet peas were daundl't, like butterflies.
