CONSISTORIAL, adj. Sc. law: pertaining to or competent before the Commissariat, or, in modern times, the Court of Session, i.e. concerning marriage, divorce, separation, etc.Sc. 1890 Bell Dict. Law Scot. 232:
Proper consistorial actions are competent only in the Court of Session.
