CHEESIE, n. “A round, hard, plain ‘heckle' biscuit, often eaten with cheese; common in ‘Thrums' 60 years ago” (Ags.17 1940). Obsol.Ags. 1891 J. M. Barrie Little Minister xiv.:
Besides the teapot there were butter and loaf-bread and cheesies: a biscuit of which only Thrums knows the secret.
