BLAINCH, Blainsh, v. [blenʃ]

1. To cleanse, whiten; Eng. blanch.Fif. 1825 Jam.2:
“To blainch the bear-stane,” to make the hollowed stone, used for preparing barley, fit for receiving the grain.

2. fig. To become unconscious.Abd.4 1929; Abd.22 1934:
Blainsh'd, fainted.
