BEHEFT, n. The stern of a ship; the buttocks. [bə′hɛft]Ags.9 1926:
Beheft, the after part of a ship or boat, aft. Often humorously applied to a certain part of the body.

[Corruption of be-eft, on the aft or stern; cf. naut. baft for abaft, the latter being composed of an (on) + be + æftan. O.E. bæftan, behind.]
