BARCAFF, n. Bear or barley chaff. The sentence quoted is meant to indicate a sheer impossibility. [′bɑr′kɑf]Abd.15 1927:
He's a gweed han' at lattin oot a rape, but for to mak aiderins oot o' barcaff, that wull dyang up's back!
