[ME and e.m.E. rihtwisenesse (c1200), rightwisnes (Cursor M.), rightwesnes (1482), etc., e.m.E. also righteousnes, rightuousness (both Coverdale), OE reht-, riht-, ryhtwísnisse.]There is possible ambiguity between senses a and c.
