b. Round-clipped, ? cut in a circular shape, with reference to the host (cf. Knox Ressonyng 172, s.v. Round adj. 1 (b)), or ? defaced (cf. ME (c1400) and e.m.E. (1602) round = to deface (a coin) by clipping).  Cf. Round-stowed adj. 1554 Knox III 279.
