Reissill, n. [Cf. later Sc. dial. reesle n. a rustling sound, jolt or jar, heavy blow, etc., also as v. and (rarely) adv., with which cf. Du. dial. risselen, MDu. rysselen, Eng. rustele, OE hristlian to crack, ON hrista to shake. Cf. also late north.
