Trading, Tred(d)ing, vbl. n. Also: tradeing, tradding, treddyng, tread(d)ing, troding. [ME and e.m.E. tredynge (1410), trading (1590), treading (1523).]

1. Tracking, the following of a trail. (Trad(e v. 2 b.) c1536 Lynd. Compl. Bagsche 207.
